We started as we mean to carry on, through our love of what we do. It all began through two people with two different backgrounds to make one idea, it took blood, sweat and biscuits but we are finally here.

Here at Pavement we understand the importance of having ethical values and we are constantly learning to improve our ways of working. We can’t do everything right first time but we are willing to learn and look at every part of our process to make it better for us, you and our world.

Ethical Clothing
Our wear is only sourced from companies that are Fair Wear Foundation members and that carry the Fair Trade mark. That way we are safe in the knowledge that what we supply you keeps in line with our our policy. All our items are 100% organic cotton or bamboo!

The ORGANIC COTTON label in our tees, is a stock collection of the highest quality garments produced in 100% pure organically grown cotton. It is is certified by the Control Union World Group, to the Organic Exchange 100 guidelines and the Skal International standards for sustainable textile production, which verify conformity with the organic regulations of Europe, Japan and the United States.
We offer both undyed and dyed organic cotton items, and to achieve organic certification, only azo-free dyes that meet the requirements of the Global Organic Standard are used in the dyeing process; the Oeko-Tex Standard certification comprehensively addresses these issues.

Naturally sustainable BAMBOO is rapidly emerging into the fashion world. Fabric woven from bamboo yarn is light, almost translucent, and softer than cotton. It has a natural quality that feels like silk, but has the advantage of being machine-washable. This natural fibre is hypoallergenic, absorbent, and fast drying. It is naturally anti-bacterial and will not hold odour. Like other natural fibres, it allows the body to breathe as the fabric absorbs the perspiration away from the body. It also is the most sustainable of the natural fibres. It is fast-growing - the type of bamboo used for making fabric, commonly known as Moso, can reach a mature height of 75 feet in just 45 to 60 days. Because of its natural antibacterial properties, it needs no pesticides. This fabric is cooling in summer, warm in winter, and environmentally friendly all year round. Combined with 30% ORGANIC cotton, our BAMBOO t-shirt fabric becomes softer than ever, has beautiful drape, and prints perfectly.

Ethical Printing
We are very lucky to have found a wonderful partner to help print our imaginations onto our garments who think like we do. They are constantly driving in their methods to have less and less impact on the environment. They use 100% water based inks to help this cause while maintaining a high quality service.

Our Community
We hope to use our brand as a springboard for local talent and we will be getting involved with all types of artists from musicians to designers and students. We wish to support, inspire and showcase their talent when we can.
